Rudolph W. Giuliani Names Pasquale J. D'Amuro Chief Executive Officer of Giuliani Security and Safety LLC
Head of New York Division of FBI New York Office, 26-Year Veteran, Counterterrorism Expert to Lead Giuliani Security and Safety
March 22, 2005 - New York, NY. Rudolph W. Giuliani, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the management consulting firm Giuliani Partners LLC, today announced that Pasquale J. D'Amuro, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI's New York office will become Chief Executive Officer of Giuliani Security and Safety LLC, effective April 1, 2005. Giuliani Security & Safety is a division of Giuliani Partners dedicated to security consulting.
Mr. D'Amuro, currently the Assistant Director in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New York, recently announced his retirement from the FBI, effective March 31, 2005. Much of Mr. D'Amuro's twenty-six-year career at the FBI has been devoted to counterterrorism, in which he is an internationally recognized expert.
Mr. Giuliani said, "Pat D'Amuro has made very important contributions to law enforcement, justice, and homeland security throughout his years at the FBI. He has served our nation with integrity and skill on important issues ranging from organized crime to terrorism and many others. His experience and expertise will be extremely valuable to our team and to our clients."

Mr. D'Amuro joined the FBI in 1979, and has worked on a wide array of criminal investigations, including white collar crimes, major property crimes, violent crime, organized crime, and terrorism. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Mr. D'Amuro was appointed Inspector in Charge of the FBI's investigation of those attacks.
Subsequently, Mr. D'Amuro served as Assistant Director for Counterterrorism at FBI Headquarters and Executive Assistant Director for Counterintelligence and Counterterrorism. In these capacities, he was instrumental in the creation and management of the FBI's Terrorism Threat Integration Center and Terrorism Watch List. Mr. D'Amuro has provided advice and briefings to the President of the United States, the U.S. Attorney General, the Director of the FBI, and the National Security Council, among others.
