Mr. Powers is the Vice Chairman of Giuliani Partners LLC. Mr. Powers formerly served as First Deputy Mayor of the City of New York, having held that post under Rudolph W. Giuliani. As First Deputy Mayor, he was responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the City. In addition, he directed the City’s relations with federal, state, and local governing entities and served as the Mayor’s chief liaison with elected officials. As First Deputy Mayor, Mr. Powers had the authority to act on the Mayor’s behalf, in the event of his absence.

Prior to joining the Giuliani Administration, Mr. Powers had a 25-year career as an attorney, certified public accountant, and consultant, advising both publicly and privately held corporations on strategy and communications. Mr. Powers also serves as Chairman of Powers Global Strategies LLC, a consulting firm which he founded in 1998.

Mr. Powers graduated with honors from Manhattan College where he also received an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree. He received a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
